After completing his apprenticeship in 1964, Fred Mentze worked for 25 years in the sheet metal industry as a journeyman craftsman. In 1989, Fred started FM Sheet Metal, Inc. He has taken his personal mission of high-quality, efficient and safe work, and high ethical standards and incorporated these values into a team-oriented corporation. Fred, a native of Springfield/Eugene area, has been a consistent leader in the construction industry within the Northwest.

FM Sheet Metal, Inc. is proud to be a signatory contractor of Sheet Metal Workers International Local #16 and United Association Local #290. Our company is comprised of highly trained and experienced sheet metal craftsmen. We continually invest in and implement new technology and equipment to meet our customers' needs, as evidenced by our recent purchase of the Iowa Precision Industries Fabriduct Coil Line and our new facility in Springfield.
